Snow crab legs can be a delicious and filling meal.

Snow crabs, also known as the chionoecetes species of crab, are known for their long legs full of succulent meat. They are caught throughout the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. However, it is not only the legs which contain a delicious meat but also the main part of the body where flesh can be found. The crab has a tough outer shell that is not difficult to crack with the right tools and procedures.

Difficulty: Moderate

things you’ll need:

  • Fresh snow crabs, cooked

    • 4

Grasp both sides of the shell and tilt it upwards to fully break it.

Pull both sides of the shell apart, revealing the meat. Remove any excess small pieces of shell and discard them.
