Less Stress, Better Sleep Aids Weight Loss
Getting the right amount of sleep and reducing stress may jump start weight loss–even for people who already have a healthy eating and exercise regiment, new research has found. A two-step study on 472 obese adults found that those who got between six and eight hours of sleep and reported the lowest stress at the beginning of the 26 week study had the most weight loss success. The study’s researchers say this suggests that weight loss involves factors other than simple food and exercise changes.
